Day 1: Chest & Back

by B on June 9, 2009

I’ve been going to a trainer for the past 2 months just to get in shape enough that I felt comfortable starting P90X.  The chest and back workout is pretty hard and even after some training, it kicked my butt.  I’m a bit overweight right now - 6′2″ 265 pounds.  A couple of the pushup exercises took more strength than I have right now.  I’m hoping to finally stick with the program and keep this going.  More than anything, just doing it is the biggest hurdle.

The goal of this blog is to give me a place to document my progress and help out other people in similar situations as me.  I have several acquaintences who are either doing or have completed their first 90 days and none of them have anything bad to say about the program.  As with any exercise though, you have to do it :)

Yes. I’ll probably post it on here at some point. It’s a bit embarrassing. :)

I started P90X today.. I began with the day 5 workout, to get ‘on schedule’ for my week, but I’m basically just getting 2 or 3 extra days to get my blood flowing.

Good luck, I look forward to making the journey with you!

I’m starting tomorrow, 6/15 so we are basically at the same point. I am 6′4″ 249lbs. I’m thinking of starting a blog similar to yours to keep track of what I’m doing, seems like we’ll need all the support we can get!

@J Good luck. I’m a couple days behind now, but I’ll get there…I think after I’m in a rhythm it’ll just be a normal part of my day.

@Scott - Good luck. Let me know if you set up a blog and I’ll link to you.
